SPRIJIN al EUROFEDOP

The National Federation of Administration Trade Unions (FNSA) denounces the abusive and opaque method by which measures to restructure personnel employed in the public administration sector are adopted and communicated.

Letter of support

The principal aim of EUROFEDOP is to promote co-operation between public service trade unions throughout Europe and represent the interests of employees in the public service to the European Union and candidate countries for European Union membership.

The National Federation of Administration Trade Unions (FNSA) denounces the abusive and opaque method by which measures to restructure personnel employed in the public administration sector are adopted and communicated.

Reducing the number of employees without real discussions with union representatives and without a careful assessment of the effects on the functioning of the institution raises serious doubts about the professionalism and genuine intentions of the initiators. Arbitrary decisions of this kind affect the stability and efficiency of institutions that are fundamental to Romanian democracy.

Moreover, the intention to reorganize competitions for all employees is not only ridiculous but also extremely risky. In such a situation, we ask a pertinent question: who will organize them, given that all workers will be subject to evaluation?

Adopting such drastic decisions in a very short period highlights an inattentive and unprofessional attitude, with potentially severe implications for the stability and efficiency of institutions.

The personnel reorganizations announced by the political leaders of institutions actually represent a populist initiative and the continued politicization of institutions in the public administration sector. Implementing radical measures without a well-defined strategic plan, without consultations with us as trade union, and without temporary support measures will seriously affect the functioning of the institutions.

EUROFEDOP and FNSA Demands:

1. The immediate cessation of any arbitrary and non-transparent actions.

2. The opening of a real social dialogue between the Government and trade unions to find fair and balanced solutions.

3. Guaranteeing a fair working environment, based on respect for the principles of the rule of law and institutional transparency.

With trade union greetings
